Sellbot Factory

Chapter 1: Things to Know Before You Go (Prior Knowledge)

The Sellbot Factory in Sellbot Headquarters is a place you’ll visit many times to collect cog suit parts and grind Merit. First, let’s look at what’s changed in the latest update and how to pick your mode.

Choosing Your Difficulty

You can now choose between two modes: Scrap Factory (Easy) and Steel Factory (Hard).

Item Scrap Factory Steel Factory
Recommended for Beginners / Casual runs Experienced Toons / Efficiency
Gag XP Multiplier 3x 4x
Boss HP 250 750

While the Cogs are tougher in Steel Factory, it’s the best way to earn a massive amount of Merit and boost your gags with that 4x multiplier.

Routes and Reward Efficiency

There are generally two routes people take:

  • Short Route: The fastest path to the boss. A Steel Factory run nets you about 867–950 Merit.
  • Long Route: You’ll take down all 35 Cogs in the facility. In Steel Factory, this yields a whopping 1,525–1,630 Merit, which is great if you want to speed up your next promotion.

Heads up! Since the Under New Management update, the old Side Entrance has been removed. Everyone enters through the Front Entrance now, so just head straight to the main doors.

Chapter 2: Boss Strategy

The Factory Foreman is waiting for you in the Center Silo Control Room at the heart of the factory.

Boss Stats

  • HP: 250 in Scrap, 750 in Steel.
  • Defense Up: He starts the fight by boosting the defense of all Cogs by 25%.

The standard play is to clear out the minions (usually level 6) with Sound Gag first, then focus all your fire on the boss.

  • Scrap Factory: Just have everyone use Foghorn on turn 1 to wipe the minions. On turn 2, finish the boss with heavy hitters like Birthday Cake.
  • Steel Factory: You might see level 12 minions here. To be safe, try a 3 Foghorn + 1 Opera Singer combo to make sure they’re gone in one go.

Special Phases to Watch For

When the boss gets low on HP, he enters the Overtime phase.

  • Damage Up: The boss deals up to 50% more damage.
  • Time Down: In Steel Factory, the battle timer drops to just 8 seconds!

That Overtime timer in Steel Factory is no joke. It gets super frantic, so you’ll want to decide on your gags quickly before the clock runs out!

Chapter 3: Supplemental Info & Trivia

Here are a few extra tips and fun facts for your factory runs.

Rare Drops and Rewards

Taking down the Factory Foreman gives you a chance to snag the Foreman Hat. Don’t worry if your luck is bad—there’s a Pity System in place that guarantees the drop after you’ve racked up enough wins.

Gag Restock Points

In a Long Route, you might run through your entire supply of Sound Gag.

  • Lava Storage Room: You’ll find a restock barrel for Sound Gag (Elephant Trunk) here.
  • Paint Mixer Storage Room: Heads up—there are no Sound barrels in this room, so be careful not to waste them!

Even though restock barrels are available, for a quick Short Scrap Factory run, you’ll want to bring a stack of at least 2 * Foghorn, 5 * Elephant Trunk, and 3 * Aoogah to keep the pace up.

Trivia: The “Leg” Factory

In the early days of development, the Sellbot Factory was actually supposed to be called the Sellbot Leg Factory. Even now, you can still find that name buried deep in the game’s files!
